7/28/2014 – OKC, OK – A female Oklahoma teen, accused of recruiting younger teens into prostitution, has been formally charged in Oklahoma County – along with two adult males – one is well known to JohnTV as violent pimp of young women.

As previously reported by JohnTV, 18-year-old then Midwest City resident Brianna Carpenter was arrested, along with 29-year-old Oklahoma City resident Terry Lawayne Clark Jr., on July 16, after they reportedly drove a 17-year-old female to an area motel to engage in prostitution with what that thought was a ‘John.’ As it turns out, that ‘John’ was actually an undercover agent with the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs (human trafficking unit).

According to a probable cause affidavit filed in the case, Carpenter contacted Clark and asked him to take her to pick up a younger teen and drop her off at the Holiday inn Express & Suites on NW Expressway.

When undercover officers questions the pair, Clark initially claimed he did not know the young victim but later admitted he knew she was engaging in prostitution at the hotel.

Brianna reportedly told investigators that she and her young victim both worked for the same pimp and that they were in a competition to see who could make the most money (via prostitution) for him.

Court records did not reveal at that time who authorities believed Carpenter’s pimp was.

However, formal criminal charges, filed last Friday, name a third  previously undisclosed defendant.

According to court records, felony charges have now been filed against Brianna Dale Carpenter, Terry Lawayne Clark Jr. and Philip (also spelled Phillip) Bush Gatson III (see mugshots at the bottom of this article).

JohnTV readers should recognize the name Gatson.

JohnTV has reported on 23-year-old convicted felon Gatson many times – as has the local news media. Most recently Gatson made the news when the Oklahoma County Jail mistakenly released him from custody early.

Gatson was being held on a separate human trafficking charge. In that case, Gatson is accused of the human trafficking of a teen in NW OKC. Court records show that Gatson was ‘mistakenly released from jail.’ Oklahoma City Police claim that Gatson was mistakenly released when a clerical error was made by a civilian employee of the OCPD. Gatson was located and returned to jail last Wednesday – just two days before his most recent human trafficking charges were filed.

Gatson was originally featured on JohnTV when he was one of 48 arrested in Aug. of 2012 as part of the FBI’s annual Operation Cross Country. In that case Gatson was charged with misdemeanor aiding and abetting prostitution. That case is still pending.

Gatson was featured again on JohnTV in Jan. of 2013 when he was one of three arrested by OKC Vice for human trafficking. Gatson somehow avoided pimping or human trafficking charges and was instead charged with possession of a firearm, transporting a loaded firearm and driving with a suspended license. That case is still pending.

In July of last year, Gatson was again featured on JohnTV when he was – yet again – arrested in another FBI Operation Cross Country sting. That arrested resulted in Gatson being charged with felony possession of a firearm. That charge was dismissed in June of this year.

Gatson was last featured on JohnTV back in Jan. of this year after he was arrested, along with an adult female, for prostituting a teenage girl in the metro. That arrest resulted in Gatson being charged with felony human trafficking and and two counts of pandering. On Jun. 2 the human trafficking charge was dismissed.

On May 9 of this year, Gatson was charged with felony rape stemming from an incident in Aug. of 2011.

Even before JohnTV began reporting on Gatson, he had quite the criminal resume.

In 2008 Gatson was charged with robbery with an imitation firearm, assault while wearing a mask, and concealing stolen property.

In 2012 Gatson was convicted of two counts of felony making a false declaration of ownership to a pawn broker.

According to Oklahoma Department of Correction’s records, Gatson is still on probation stemming from a five-year deferred sentence in 2009.

No specific charges have been listed yet and no additional details have been released.

Carpenter, who initially listed a home address in Midwest City, now shows to reside at 12313 East Britton Rd. in Jones. According to the Oklahoma County Assessor’s Office, the home is owned by Gary M. Carpenter (Brianna’s grandfather).

Court records show Clark’s last known address was 604 NW 116th Street in Oklahoma City. Oklahoma County Assessor records show this home belong’s to Clark’s father – Terry Clark Sr.

Court records show Gatson’s last known address was a rent house in the 2400 block of NW 40th in Oklahoma City.

All three criminal defendants are currently being held in the Oklahoma County Jail.

7/28/2014 – OKC, OK — Midwest City ‘man’ and recent newlywed, Jason John Weil, has pleaded in his street prostitution criminal case and received his sentence – despite his new wife’s insistence that it was all just a big ol’ misunderstanding.

JohnTV has twice now reported on the misguided sexual activities of 32-year-old Jason Weil – first when he was arrested, along with 13 others, for soliciting street prostitution along OKC’s infamous S. Robinson Ave. – and then again when Weil’s probable cause affidavit was released publicly (see image below).

According to court documents, on April 15, at about 3 p.m., Weil, who reportedly works for OG&E, was apparently cruising S. Robinson Ave. on the hunt for some cheap public sex with one of the local drug addicted, often homeless and usually controlled by some pimp, ladies of the street.

Unfortunately for Weil, he is apparently not very good at preying upon soliciting street prostitutes because the one he picked was actually an undercover female police officer – Doh!

Allegedly Weil rolled up on a faux hoe standing near SW 39th and S. Robinson Ave. and offered $80 for both oral and vaginal sex.

Couple of things here….. One; undercover female officers are really easy to spot (making Weil pretty stupid). Two; S. Robinson Ave. is a $20 street, not an $80 street (making Weil stupid and fiscally irresponsible). And, three; when you’re about to marry the most attractive woman you’ve ever met, you don’t cruise S. Robinson Ave. and you certainly don’t offer to pay to have vaginal intercourse with some anonymous, most likely contagious drug addict who most likely doesn’t have a condom on her! (that’s a trifecta of stupidity)

Yes, you heard that right – Weil was only a few days out from marrying (what we’re told from people who know her) a woman who is way, way, way over his pay grade in physical appearance, intelligence and personality.

Mrs. Weil is either the most forgiving or most gullible woman we’ve ever met, because, despite her fiancee’s actions and arrest, she married the dope anyway.

As evident in a text message (see image below) sent by the then soon-to-be Mrs. Weil to an inquiring friend, Jason had apparently convinced her that this entire ‘situation’ could be worked out in short order with the help of a really good lawyer.

Less than a month after the Weil’s said their ‘I do’s’ the whole ‘for better or for worse’ clause became an all too real reality when Jason was officially and criminally charged in Oklahoma County with offering to engage in an act of prostitution.

Apparently the Weil’s definition of ‘misunderstanding’ and ‘clearing it up’ is to plead no contest to the charges and accept the repercussions - because that’s exactly what happened on July 17th.

Beyond the hype and the embarrassment of it all, Jason really didn’t fare too poorly in court….. he received the boilerplate one year deferred sentence (supervised), 20-hours of community service, $100 fine and some court costs. If he doesn’t get in any more trouble then this won’t count as a conviction and he can have it all expunged off his record in a few years.

Personally, we don’t see how a marriage survives after something like this… I mean every time you’re sitting on the couch together flipping through the cable channels Jason has to be holding his breath that Pretty Woman, HBO’s Cathouse, Cheaters or even the Maury Show doesn’t pop up on the screen. Then there’s always those uncomfortable moments when someone mentions infidelity or prostitution. Just seems like a recipe for a lifetime of anxiety.

O’well, hopefully Jason learned a valuable lesson and Mrs. Weil has him on a very short leash!

7/29/2014 – Tulsa, OK — A Missouri felon originally charged in Tulsa County court with human sex trafficking has had his state criminal case dropped to make way for a federal indictment.

JohnTV originally reported on 24-year-old Demetric Andreal Jackson back in April after he was arrested by members of the Tulsa Police Department’s Vice Unit.

Jackson was booked into the Tulsa County Jail on complaints that he arranged to have a Missouri woman travel by bus to Tulsa to engage in prostitution for his financial benefit.

The unidentified woman reportedly told police she met Jackson when she responded to an ad he had placed on Backpage.com (most likely an ad looking for young women desperate for money).

After she arrived in Tulsa, the girl said that Jackson rented a room at the Tudor Inn on E. Archer St. and then placed prostitution ads on Backpage.com. The girl claims that Jackson setup ‘dates’ with at least 10 men. The girl said Jackson took more than $1,500 from her – which was all of the money she had been paid by her ‘Johns.’

Jackson was taken into custody on April 9, and charged with felony human trafficking on April 15.

Jackson remained in the Tulsa County Jail on a $200,000 bond until his state case was dismissed on July 8.

Jackson was subsequently federally indicted on three charges; Mann Act violation and two counts of interstate travel and transportation in aid of a racketeering enterprise.

On July 10, according to a press release by the United States Attorney’s Office of the Northern District of Oklahoma;

Jackson is charged with transporting a woman from Kansas City, Missouri, to Tulsa, with the intent that the woman engage in prostitution. If convicted, the penalty for the Mann Act is not more than 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine, and the penalty for the racketeering charge is not more than five years in prison and a $250,000 fine. The Tulsa Police Department is the investigative agency.

Federal court papers reveal that Jackson often goes by the street name “D” and his victim has only been identified by her initials “K.O.”

The three count federal indictment reads;

Count One; On or about April 9, 2014, in the Northern District of Oklahoma, the defendant, Demetric Andreal Jackson Jr., a/k/a “D”, in and affecting interstate commerce, knowingly transported K.O., a female person known to the Grand Jury, from Kansas City, Missouri, to Tulsa, Oklahoma, with the intent that K.O. engage in prostitution.

Count Two; On or about April 9, 2014, in the Northern District of Oklahoma, the defendant, Demetric Andreal Jackson Jr., a/k/a “D”, traveled in interstate commerce, namely from Missouri to Oklahoma, with the intent to promote, manage, establish, carry on, and facilitate the promotion, management, establishment, and carrying on, of an unlawful activity, that is, a business enterprise involving prostitution in violation of the laws of the State of Oklahoma, and thereafter performed, and attempted to perform, an act to promote, manage, establish, and carry on, and to facilitate the promotion, management, establishment, and carrying on of such unlawful activity.

Count Three; On or about April 9, 2014, in the Northern District of Oklahoma, the defendant, Demetric Andreal Jackson Jr., a/k/a “D”, used facilities in and affecting interstate commerce, namely telephone and Internet services, with the intent to promote, manage, establish, carry on, and facilitate the promotion, management, establishment, and carrying on, of an unlawful activity, that is, a business enterprise involving prostitution in violation of the laws of the State of Oklahoma, and thereafter performed, and attempted to perform, an act to promote, manage, establish, and carry on, and to facilitate the promotion, management, establishment, and carrying on of such unlawful activity.

Jackson was convicted of two counts of forgery last year in Jackson County, Mo.

7/29/2014 – Oklahoma — A felon previously convicted (and given virtually no punishment at all) for the brutal sexual assault of a six-year-old autistic child in Moore is apparently on the run and warrants have been issued for his arrest.

JohnTV has reported on convicted child rapist Teddy Dean Davis, 28, (and his accomplice Jonathan Mark Smith, 38) several times since he was arrested and criminally charged and convicted in Cleveland County.

Readers will recall that in 2011 Davis responded to a Craigslist ad posted by Smith looking for some NSA (No Strings Attached) homosexual sex at his Moore home.

At some point Davis and Smith decided they weren’t into each other sexually so attention turned to Smith’s 6-year old autistic son – who was home sleeping at the time.

According to court records, Davis anally raped the young boy while the boy’s father (Smith) stood in the same room and masturbated while he watched.

Fortunately for both Davis and Smith, Cleveland County District Attorney Greg Mashburn has a soft spot for child sexual offenders – as evident in the plea deal reached with both defendants.

In 2012 Davis was convicted and sentenced to only serves 75-weeks in jail and register as a sex offender.

Smith was convicted in 2013 and sentenced to only seven-years in prison.

Davis was released from prison in Feb. and almost immediately he began violating the terms of his probation and sex offender status. On April 21, an application to revoke Davis’ suspended sentence was filed in Cleveland County – stating that Davis “failed to abstain from drugs, possessed pornographic materials, failed to abstain from use of the Internet and violated the law.”

According to a local news report by KWTV News9 (see below), Davis is specifically accused of smoking marijuana, storing pornography on his cell phone, exchanging pornographic images in chat rooms and continuing to access websites like Craigslist.

A warrant was issued for Davis’ arrest on April 23rd. And, because apparently DA Mashburn has never met a child rapist he doesn’t like, Davis was allowed to post bond and was released.

It should come as no surprise that Davis promptly went on the run and has not been seen since.

A warrant for Davis’ arrest was issued on Jun. 23, and Davis’ bond has been set at $500,000.

Davis’ last known address (with the Oklahoma Sex Offender Registry) is Rt. 3 Box 192 B, Marlow, OK 73055 in Stephens County.

Readers should keep in mind that Davis is only now on the run and posing a serious threat to the community because Cleveland County DA Greg Mashburn allowed Davis to be sentenced to virtually no prison time at all. A feat that was only accomplished because Mashburn agreed to ignore Davis’ lengthy felony criminal record that would have made him ineligible for such a lax sentence.

7/30/2014 – OKC, OK — A former high ranking member of the infamous Coulter/Diaz prostitution and human trafficking ring has returned to S. Robinson Ave. just days after her release from jail on a burglary conviction.

Mary Ann Kladky is well known to JohnTV and local law enforcement.

For years Kladky was considered the ‘Bottom Bitch’ (or the highest ranking female member) of the Mario Diaz arm of the Germaine Coulter criminal enterprise – that consisted mostly of the prostituting and sex trafficking of young women in Oklahoma and Texas.

At only 28-years old, Kladky has amassed quite the criminal resume going back to when she was just a teenager. According to public records, Kladky has been arrested and charged with crimes ranging from prostitution, maintaining a house of prostitution, DUI (drugs), felony assault and battery, larceny to burglary.

In 2006, JohnTV’s own Video Vigilante Brian Bates recorded Kladky and Diaz attacking another woman on S. Robinson Ave. (see video below). That brutal attack left their victim with broken bones in her face and Kladky and Diaz charged with assault and later with witness intimidation.

Also in 2006, Bates confronted Kladky while she was engaged in public sex with a ‘John’ parked on church property near S. Robinson Ave.

Coulter and Diaz are currently in prison serving sentences for racketeering crimes related to their prostitution and human trafficking organization.

Kladky was most recently convicted in Oklahoma County of felony burglary and felony larceny of merchandise in April of 2014 and sentenced to five-years suspended, except for the first 180 days to serve in jail.

Apparently Klady’s most recent jail experience wasn’t enough to dissuade her from continuing her criminal ways.

Just yesterday Kladky was video recorded by Bates as she solicited ‘Johns’ along South Robinson Ave. (see still frame below).

Kladky was picked up several times and usually ‘conducted business’ (aka, prostitution related acts of public lewdness) inside the ‘John’s’ vehicle in area parking lots.

Around 5:30 p.m. Kladky was picked up by a black male in an older model convertible near SE 44 and S. Shields Ave. The driver appeared to know Kladky and was yelling at her before he sped away with her.

It is not known if this person is just an acquaintance of Kladky’s or if he is pimping her out.

This vehicle was spotted again later that evening in the parking lot of Red Light Nights – a strip bar near SE 36 and S. I-35.

JohnTV is posting this information in hopes of finding out if Kladky is once again involved in a leadership role of a local prostitution or human trafficking ring. In the past, Kladky’s actions put many young women in danger as she acted as both a prostitute and recruiter.

Public records show that in July of 2013 Kladky married her boyfriend, Jaime Jarel Coursey, 26.

Public records also show that Coursey, a convicted felon, is no stranger to criminal conduct himself and his most recent felony charges include Kladky as his co-defendant. (click here to read a detailed article on Kladky and Coursey)

JohnTV has received information that Kladky and Coursey may have broken up.

On July 4, Kladky changed her Facebook cover photo to a picture of her young child with a man – not Coursey – and Coursey was apparently none-too-pleased – as evident in his reply just two days later.

It is not known if the man in the photo above is the same man pictured driving the white convertible pictured previously.

8/1/2014 – Dallas, TX — Two leaders of a major Dallas based prostitution ring have pleaded guilty to federal charges.

As JohnTV previously reported last year, ‘Operation Flaming Dragon’ was a two-year investigation involving local, state and federal authorities, centered around businesses in Plano, Dallas and Hurst.

Prosecutors contend that the targeted businesses and were nothing more than front for prostitution.

In June of 2013 more than 240 agents from multiple agencies executed 14 state and federal warrants in North Texas that resulted in 20 arrests. In all, nine brothels masquerading as massage parlors were shut down and one private residence in Dallas/Plano was raided.

Child Protective Services reports it removed three children from the Plano house, including a 6 month old boy, and two girls ages five and 15. Around two dozen people with ties to the prostitution ring were arrested. Eleven were charged in a federal indictment.

Two of those federally charged with leadership roles within the criminal organization pleaded guilty this week in a federal courtroom in Plano.

Yu Lin Chang, 38, wore shackles and an ill-fitting black and white stripped jail jumpsuit as she stood before the judge. Chang, through an interpreter, pleaded guilty for her part as a madame overseeing brothels in Plano, Dallas and Hurst. Chang’s lawyer was able to negotiate a plea deal that will only result in Chang being sentenced to up to 48-months in prison.

Court records indicate that Chang was often openly referred to as Quyen Thuc Ha’s wife – though in reality Ha was married to someone else.

Ha, 55, of Richardson owned the brothels and actively assisted Chang.

Ha pleaded guilty to two federal charges of bribery. Ha faces up to 10-years in prison at sentencing.

According to court documents, Ha paid police officers thousands of dollars thinking he was buying protection and leniency. In reality, the law enforcement officers were working with federal investigators to make a case against the criminal organization.

The brothels mostly utilized sites like Backpage.com to both advertise their prostitution services and recruit women into prostitution.

Court paperwork reveals that the brothels transported women from California, Nevada and Georgia to work for up to a month in the Texas brothels. Those who made the most money for the criminal organization were kept longer.

Documents also reveal that the prostitution ring used homes and apartment in Oklahoma City and St. Louis to conduct business.

Seven others involved in the brothels have accepted plea deals with federal prosecutors: Jia-Her Hwang, 66; Prapatson Verhotz, 48; Kim Sey Lau, 57; Yu Qian, 46; Tin Min Lo, 52; Michael Gene Jones, 65; and Li Meng Shank, 43.

Verhotz, Qian and Shank all worked as prostitutes. They were each sentenced to 12 months and one day in federal prison. Verhotz was also fined $2,000 while Qian was fined $40,000, according to court documents.

Sentencing hearings for the other four are pending.

Federal charges are pending for Lai Iong Chiu and Xia Xu. Several others faced misdemeanor charges in state district court for prostitution.

8/1/2014 – OKC, OK — Oh, the funny things men who solicit prostitutes do to try and avoid taking responsibility for their actions – Take Oklahoma City attorney William Lowel Nixon for example…

Nixon, who was arrested almost 15-months ago in NW OKC for soliciting prostitution has yet to be held accountable for his alleged crime.

JohnTV has reported on William Nixon several times since his May 2013 arrest for soliciting prostitution online:

According to a probable cause affidavit filed after William Nixon’s arrest; On May 1, of last year Nixon reportedly responded to an ad for prostitution placed on Backpage.com by a confidential informant and undercover officers with the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs (human trafficking unit) and Oklahoma City Vice.

Around 4 p.m. Nixon showed up at room 208 within the Hampton Inn, located at 3022 NW Expressway in Oklahoma City.

Once inside the room, Nixon allegedly offered to pay $80 for oral sex – at which point he received the ultimate mood killer and was joined by several law enforcement officers and placed under arrest.

Nixon wasn’t the only ‘John’ arrested in that particular sting – in fact, six other ‘men’ were also arrested after soliciting prostitution. The only difference? All of the other six men were promptly criminally charged in Oklahoma County with misdemeanor offering to engage soon after the sting. In fact, five of the six have long ago pleaded guilty and are serving or have completed their probationary periods. The only one not to plead guilty was a foreign student at UCO who left the country soon after his arrest.

Because Oklahoma County has a history of letting ‘Johns’ with professional or political connections walk away unscathed after prostitution arrests, JohnTV was not about to let the fact Nixon was avoiding prosecution to go unnoticed.

Apparently JohnTV’s unrelenting coverage also had a negative impact on Nixon’s online reputation. A quick Google search of “William Nixon Oklahoma City” turns up several of JohnTV’s articles and media interviews regarding William Nixon’s prostitution arrest – plus some not so flattering reviews from some pretty pissed off consumers of Love, Beal & Nixon P.C.

In an obvious attempt to mute the prevalence of JohnTV’s coverage, Nixon seems to have solicited the services of an online reputation defense company (no idea which one).

Since Aug. of last year, Nixon (or, most likely someone working on his behalf) began creating profiles on virtually every social media website they could locate – the idea being that if you throw a bunch of crap profiles online, then when someone Googles your, that crap will somehow camouflage or overshadow the links you don’t want people reading – Like JohnTV articles pointing out that your married ass solicited oral sex from an online prostitute!

Just one listing of all the crap profiles created in Nixon’s name.

Nixon (or his handlers) think the most obvious search query people will use to look him up on Google is “William Nixon”, “Oklahoma” and “OKC” – we say this because each and every profile mentions those fours words as many times as they possibly can.

8/18/2014 (updated 8/20/2014) – OKC, OK — An off-duty police officer is sitting in the  Oklahoma County Jail on allegations he sexually assaulted an adult entertainer in a vacant Oklahoma City apartment.

Brett William Johnson, 26,  of Norman, was arrested last Thursday after a woman came forward claiming that Johnson had forced her to perform sex acts on him.

Johnson was recently hired on as an unpaid reserve police officer for the town of Minco (SW of OKC).

Information passed on to JohnTV indicates that Johnson previously worked with the Boley and Cashion police departments in Oklahoma.

Johnson’s primary occupation appears to be working as a security guard for a handful of local security companies.

Johnson was reportedly working as a security guard when the assault occurred.

According to court records, Oklahoma City Police were dispatched to the Cottages at Hefner Road apartments around 11:15 p.m. last Thursday.

When officers arrived they were met by a 26-year-old woman that JohnTV will simply identify as BBM.

The young woman told officers that she was an adult entertainer and that she worked as a private dancer (some sources have contacted JohnTV and identify BBM as a prostitute – however, no prostitution criminal charges could be found). BBM told officers that she had been contacted by a male customer and told to come to the apartment complex.

When she arrived (along with another companion as protection), BBM said she was confronted by Johnson, who reportedly told the two to “freeze.” BBM said she thought Johnson was an actual police officer because of his official looking uniform.

BBM says that Johnson frisked her and told her she was going to be arrested for trespassing. Johnson then discovered that BBM had K2 in her possession and placed her in handcuffs and took her to an apartment that was under construction to search her more thoroughly.

Once inside the apartment, BBM claims that Johnson asked her if she was a prostitute – to which BBM stated she was a private dancer. Johnson allegedly told BBM to ‘prove it’ and had her start to dance for him.

BBM told police that Johnson then pulled her dress down and touched her vagina.

Johnson then allegedly told BBM that “there must be something you could do to get out of going to jail.” Johnson then stated, “I bet you can suck a good dick.”

BBM says that Johnson then placed his penis in her mouth until he ejaculated.

BBM’s friend then said she was going to contact the real police – Johnson responded by “taking off.”

Investigators identified Johnson as a security guard for the apartment complex, located him and placed him under arrest.

BBM told detectives that her attacker had a star tattoo on his arm and a piercing through his penis – commonly referred to as a ‘Prince Albert.’

When confronted by investigators, Johnson reportedly signed a waiver allowing officers to search his body – thus revealing Johnson’s distinguishing ‘Johnson.’

Johnson later reportedly admitted to being the person who initially contacted BMM and requested her to show up at the apartment complex. Johnson told police he called the woman so he could “hook up” because he’d been having problems with his girlfriend.

Johnson was booked into the Oklahoma County Jail on forcible oral sodomy and sexual battery. His original bond was listed at $30,000. However, as of this publication, Johnson’s bond for each count has been raised to $55,000 and he remains in custody.

A representative with the Minco Police Department says Johnson, who had only been with the department since Spring, has been relieved of duty pending the outcome of this investigation.

Since Johnson’s arrest, JohnTV has been doing some digging into his past and has located several individuals who were more than happy to share their insights to this creepster.

Regardless, a quick look over Johnson’s Facebook profile shows a man obsessed with the idea of becoming a police officer.

Photo after photo and status update after status update focus singularly on his quest to become a fully commissioned officer.

The totally surprising thing to JohnTV though was that we couldn’t locate a single photo of Johnson wearing an ‘Affliction’ or ‘Tap Out’ t-shirt – which we just sort of assumed was required apparel for wannabe cops.

It just so happens that Johnson was actually a ‘friend’ of JohnTV’s Facebook page - Johnson friended our page back in February of 2011.

So, naturally, while Johnson has been cooling his heels in a jail cell, JohnTV has been busy posting his mugshot and other information to his own Facebook page (never a good idea to ‘friend’ JohnTV if you’re planning to rape individuals in the sex industry).

In fact, JohnTV has learned that Johnson’s victim (BBM) is also a ‘friend’ of JohnTV’s Facebook page.

BBM is currently on a deferred sentence in Oklahoma County for possession of Xanax stemming from a 2012 arrest.

BBM was in the news herself in 2012 after a routine shoplifting arrest made a surprising twist. According to published reports, in the 2012 incident, BBM gave police her sister’s name and date of birth (now that’s not a sisterly thing to do) after she was caught stealing makeup at a local retailer. After police realized her true identity, BBM then apparently faked a seizure.

Johnson received a deferred sentence in 2010 in Cleveland County for transporting a loaded firearm in a motor vehicle and driving under suspension.

Acquaintances of Johnson have reported to JohnTV the following – totally unsubstantiated – information;

1. Johnson was allegedly a suspect in the rape of a 17-year-old girl while he was married to his first wife.
2. Johnson was allegedly raised by a mentally unstable mother who was addicted to heroin and died a few years ago.
3. Johnson is known by many of his friends and acquaintances as a habitual liar.
4. Johnson used to be a drummer for a band before he was kicked out for allegedly stealing.
5. First impression many have of Johnson (even those in law enforcement) is that he gave of a creepy vibe.
6. According to multiple sources, Johnson was having an affair on his current fiancee that was discovered as a result of his arrest.

And just to add to the creepiness factor, it should be pointed out that Johnson was born on Halloween!

Oh, and did we mention Johnson is currently engaged to a local woman who is reportedly pregnant with his child? Well, WAS engaged. According to a Facebook post by her right after his arrest….. the wedding is officially off.

JohnTV wonders out loud why Johnson isn’t also charged with kidnapping and impersonating a police officer.

9/21/2014 – Cleveland County, OK — Convicted child rapist and overall sicko Teddy Dean Davis, 28, was returned to custody after violating the terms of his probation – only to be re-released after posting a half a million dollars bond.

Davis, who has an extensive criminal resume, was most recently convicted in April of 2012 for raping a 6-year-old autistic child in Moore, Oklahoma.

Fortunately for Davis, and unfortunately for every other child in Cleveland County, District Attorney Greg Mashburn has a soft spot for child molesters and agreed to Davis only serving 75-weeks in prison for his horrific crime.

As JohnTV predicted, within weeks of his release, Davis had violated the terms of his probation and a warrant was issued for his arrest in June and an application to revoke his probation filed with the courts.

Because Davis is a lifelong coward, he fled.

According to court records, Davis was recently returned to custody.

However, because DA Mashburn never met a sexual deviant he didn’t like, Davis – despite being a long time convicted felon, despite raping an autistic child and despite the fact that even after his release from prison he refused to abstain from collecting and distributing pornographic images, logging onto chat rooms and doing drugs – Mashburn’s office apparently didn’t put up a fight to keep Davis from being rereleased onto the public.

This past Monday, Davis was somehow able to post a $500,000 bond and was once again allowed to roam free in our community.

Davis is set to appear in Cleveland County court next Wednesday at 10 a.m.

8/27/2014 – OKC, OK — A notorious S. Robinson Ave. prostitute and drug dealer has been sentenced to over a decade in prison.

Renee Bonnie McCullough, a longtime previously convicted violent felon, was sentenced in Oklahoma County to 12-years behind bars for a laundry list of drug dealing crimes.

McCullough, 46, was charged in March with felony possession of meth with intent to distribute, possession of cocaine, possession of marijuana, possession of proceeds from drug sales and maintaining a dwelling where drugs are kept (see mugshot at bottom of this article).

According to court records, McCullough had two other partners in crime – identified as Eddie Lee Dewayne Edwards and Sidney Curtis Hudson.

Earlier this month McCullough, along with her tax payer funded public defender, stood before Oklahoma County Judge Fred Doak and pleaded guilty to all five charges.

In addition to McCullough’s 12-year sentence, she must also pay court fees and have her identifying information submitted to the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs ‘Methamphetamine Offender Registry.’

Odd Bit Of Trivia: McCullough’s name was misspelled in her court record, so, it is also misspelled in the meth registry. Which in effect means she’s not actually in the registry.

Court records misspelled both her first and last name, spelling Renee ‘Rene’ and McCullough ‘McCullouch.’

There is no information in the database under her correct spelling.

As a parting gift, on Aug. 19, McCullough got a brand spanking new DOC mugshot as they welcomed her to the Mabel Bassett Assessment and Reception Center in McCloud, just days before her 46th birthday.

According to public DOC records, McCullough has prior felony convictions for drug possession, possession of cocaine after former conviction, escape from a penitentiary, possession of drug paraphernalia and robbery with a firearm.

McCullough also has prior arrests and convictions for larceny and, you guessed it, prostitution.

Long time JohnTV fans will recall that McCullough was the street prostitute back in 2004 that claimed JohnTV’s founder, Brian Bates, had paid her take her ‘Johns’ to a location where he could catch them in the act of engaging in public lewdness. That false claim by McCullough was all that then Oklahoma County District Attorney Wes Lane needed to file criminal charges against Bates, after Bates had publicly criticized Lane and his office on how they handled prostitution cases.

The charges against Bates were later dropped – in part after McCullough’s own mother came forward and proclaimed her daughter to be a liar.  McCullough’s mother said that her daughter had told her it was all a plot to try and get money in a lawsuit.

9/3/2014 – OKC, OK – New allegations against a Minco police officer and security guard suggest that he may be a serial rapist and that more victims may be out there.

JohnTV previously reported on the Aug. 15 arrest of 26-year-old Brett William Johnson for allegedly handcuffing and raping a woman after he called her to an apartment complex where he was working nights as a security guard.

At the time, Johnson was also a deputy police officer for the town of Minco (SW of OKC).

According to a third Certificate of Probable Cause (CPC) filed in this case, a second victim has come forward with a detailed claim that she too was sexually assaulted by Brett Johnson while he was working as a security guard.

This new victim, identified only as K.B., told detectives that on Aug. 8 Johnson replied to an adult escort advertisement she had placed on Backpage.com.

K.B. says that Johnson instructed her to come to Oakleaf Apartments at 5731 NW 19th St. in NW Oklahoma City around 9 p.m.

After K.B. arrived at the apartment complex she was approached by Johnson – who, dressed as a security guard, did not identify himself as the person who had contacted K.B. online.

K.B. claims that Johnson then handcuffed her and took her to an unlit area beside one of the apartment buildings. Once there K.B. claims that Johnson told her he was moving her into a dark area to search her and ‘save her dignity.’ The woman told police that Johnson then began fondling her breasts, pinching her nipples, and even placed his hands inside her underwear and penetrated her vagina.

K.B. claims the assault only stopped when a woman heard her crying and came to investigate.

K.B. said that Johnson made her apologize to the woman for being a prostitute in her complex (Police are actively trying to locate this possible witness).

K.B. also told police that Johnson had taken a photo of her on his cell phone.

When police executed a search warrant on Johnson’s phone they found the photo in question – which showed the victim in a sun dress, handcuffed and crying.

K.B. told detectives that when Johnson took the photo, he told her that if she told anyone what he did that he would find her and kill her.

Phone records indicate that the photo was forwarded, via text message, to an unnamed woman identified only as Johnson’s girlfriend.

Police say both attacks are extremely similar in nature; both were committed while Johnson was in uniform and working security at area OKC apartment complexes, both women were contacted via Backpage.com, both women were handcuffed, both women were moved to a secluded and dark area and told it was for their ‘dignity,’ and both women were allegedly sexually assaulted before being released.

Investigators noted that Johnson denied having any contact with the females prior to their arrival at the complexes – however, Johnson’s cell phone records show he did indeed contact the women prior to their arrival.

Brett Johnson is currently being held in the Oklahoma County Jail on a $89,000 bond.

Johnson has since been relieved of duty from the Minco Police Department.

Police believe there could be more victims out there that have yet to come forward.

9/10/2014 – Claremore, OK (as published by Brandi Ball at Newson6.com) — A Claremore woman who was arrested last week for allegedly vandalizing Foyil schools was arrested on Tuesday for facilitating a meeting between two teen girls and a man who reportedly raped one of them.

The Rogers County Sheriff’s Office says Katie Lynn Deloya-Cambray, 22, and the two girls went to the horsemen camping lot at Will Rogers Downs to meet with Oscar Garcia “to attempt to get Garcia to give them money to help with their pending legal troubles,” a report says.

According to RCSO, Garcia, 43, provided the females shots of tequila, then Cambray and one of the girls left to buy cigarettes. When the 16-year-old girl was left behind with Garcia, he picked her up and took her to the bed and raped her, the girl told deputies. According to the report, she said she repeatedly told him to stop, then texted the other two women to tell them she had been raped.

When Cambray and the other girl returned, they found Garcia next to the teen with nothing on but his underwear. The three females then left the trailer, the report says.

Cambray was arrested for procuring minors for prostitution and contributing to the delinquency of minors, and Garcia was booked for first-degree rape.

Afterward, Garcia was interviewed by investigators. He said he asked the girls if they were 21, and they said they were, so he gave them tequila, the report says.

He said one of the girls, who he thought was between 17 and 19 years old, was left behind while the others went to the store.

According to the report, Garcia said the girl began to flirt with him, so he touched her behind and she followed him to the bed with her pants down. Garcia reportedly said he began to touch her and then when he initiated intercourse, to which she said “No.”

Garcia said the other females returned to the trailer shortly after that incident, and all left without talking to him.

Both Cambray and Garcia are in the Rogers County jail. Cambray also was arrested last week, along with a 19-year-old man, after officials said they threw rocks at the front doors that damaged door frames at the Foyil School, broke windows in several buildings and did donuts in the parking lot, all totaling about $2,600 worth of damage.

Reports also say they showed their privates and “mooned” the cameras.

9/10/2014 – Everett, Washington — Would you like a little lap-dance with that latte? Or, how about some cunnilingus with your coffee?

No? Well, apparently that hasn’t been the answer given by many of the male patrons of pop-up drive-thru coffee shops with names like Jave-Jugs and Twin Peaks in the Everett, Washington area.

So popular in fact were these ‘coffee brothels’ that prosecutors had evidence that the business’s owner, Carmela Panico, was able to hide from the IRS more than $2-million in cash earnings.

JohnTV first reported on Panico’s alleged prostitution business back in Feb. of 2010.

In that report, five of Panico’s ‘bikini baristas’ had been criminally charged with prostitution related crimes.

Apparently Panico didn’t get the hint that city officials were on to her. Or, maybe she did, as Panico is now alleged to have traded sexual favors with then Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Darrell O’Neill – in exchange for O’Neill tipping Panico off to any law enforcement investigations and or surveillance.  O’Neill had been with the sheriff’s department for 30-years.

Last Tues. Panico, 52, pleaded guilty to second degree promoting prostitution and money laundering – both are felonies.

In exchange for her guilty plea, Panico, a former stripper, will surrender $250,000 in cash seized from her home during a search warrant in 2013. Panico has also agreed to retire from the coffee business and turn her five stores and their assets over to the city of Everett.

Panico must also cooperate with prosecutors and provide “testimony against others who were involved in her criminal activities.” — Meaning, Panico will most likely be instrumental in securing a conviction against Sgt. O’Neill at his November criminal trial.

O’Neill is charged with felony second degree promotion of prostitution with aggravating factors of abuse of a position of trust and having engaged in a major economic offense. Additionally, O’Neill is charged with two counts of official misconduct, gross misdemeanors.

Panico will be formerly sentenced in March and could still face up to a year in jail – though prosecutors are only asking for four-days.

Court records reveal that prior to Panico going into the sex-presso business, she was an associate and employee of Talents West – a collection of well known strip clubs – owned by Frank Colacurcios and his son.

The Colacurcios family business came to an end after they were federally prosecuted for organized crime.

Panico reportedly holds a college degree and opened her string of (as many as 8) parking lot drive-thru coffee shops in 2008.

Panico’s mostly former stripper and escort employees were given a quota they had to make each day. Any additional money was their’s to keep.

One former employee reportedly made $500,000 in ‘tips’ by providing peep-shows and sexual services at the coffee drive-thru.

9/11/2014 – Arizona — According to Shanna Parker, at only the age of 13, she had had enough… enough of the abuse, enough of the violence and enough of the men her single mother brought home sexually abusing her – so she left.

This was 1984 and Parker was all alone on the streets of downtown Oklahoma City.

After months of being homeless and afraid, Parker says she met an older man that she thought was ‘nice.’

“He gave me a roof. He fed me. I rode around with him in his really nice car. I thought it was great,” Parker recently told a reporter with The Arizona Republic.

But it was too good to be true. Parker’s ‘angel’ was a predator and Parker his prey.

Before long the man let it be known that Parker owed him and that she’d have to sell herself to strangers in order to pay him back.

Parker said she soon learned the man had other women whom he pimped out too.

Parker recounts how there were no shelters for women in her situation and the term ‘human trafficking’ was unknown at that time.

Parker claims the Oklahoma City Police were not even to be trusted. Parker recounts when a patrol officer picked her up as a teenager and said he was going to take her downtown, but instead pulled over and raped her.

At 14 Parker was pregnant. She says the baby was fathered by her pimp.

After giving birth Parker tried at least twice to runaway.

Her only glimmer of hope came after her pimp was allegedly convicted of murdering another prostitute and sentenced to death.

As an adult, Parker now lives in Arizona and dedicates her time to helping other victims of sex trafficking through her non-profit organization Angels Go To Work.

According to the Angels Go To Work website; “ANGELSGOTOWORK has devoted its energy to passionately advocating for victims of Human Trafficking. Trafficking children has been a hidden part of America. No longer are Pimps and Johns able to abuse in the dark. The light has been cast and the world is watching.”

9/12/2014 – Tulsa, OK — A Claremore man was arrested last week in Tulsa after he allegedly solicited prostitution from a female he thought was a young teen.

According to published reports and court records, Tulsa Police received word that 45-year-old Joseph Wayne Collins was actively seeking a young girl to pay to have sex with him.

In response, an undercover female officer posed as a 13-year-old girl and sent a text to Collins.

Collins responded by allegedly offering to pay $175 in exchange for sexual intercourse.

Police arrested Collins after he arrived at the America’s Best Value Inn. Where police found Collins to be in possession of condoms and $200 in cash.

Was of this publication, no formal charges have yet been filed in Tulsa County.

9/12/2014 – Owasso, OK — A 61-year-old former Oklahoma politician has been formally charged as a child sex predator.

According to published reports and court records, Danny Bruce George, of Clinton, was arrested by Owasso Police last month after he reportedly tried to meet with a 14-year-old female for sex.

The arrest came after George reportedly corresponded with an undercover female police officer posing as a 14-year-old female.

After over a month of correspondence via text and chat, George planned to meet the teen in the afternoon in the Los Cabos restaurant parking lot in Owasso.

Prosecutors allege that George planned to take the teen to a hotel in Tulsa to engage in sexual activities.

Police served a search warrant at the hotel and found alcohol (requested by the undercover officer), contraceptives and other evidence.

Police opened their investigation after they received a tip that George had been activity seeking sexual contact with underage girls online.

Prosecutors allege that it didn’t take George long before he was offering to pay the undercover officer for explicit sexual acts.

George served as an Oklahoma House member from 1985-1987, representing Oklahoma’s 60th district.

According to the Oklahoma ethics commission website, George is listed currently as a lobbyist.

A LinkedIn profile attributed to George by other online articles indicates that George is the owner of Corona Technical Services, LLC. Interesting is the fact this LinkedIn profile makes no mention of his political career and has an obvious gap during the time he would have served Oklahoma constituents.

On Aug. 29, George was formally charged in Tulsa County with felony inducing a minor to engage in prostitution, sexual battery and attempting to contribute to the delinquency of a minor.

George was released from custody after posting a bond in excess of $30,000.

George pleaded not guilty on Sept. 2.

George is currently set to next appear in court on Sept. 22, for his preliminary hearing.

If convicted, George faces prison and sex offender registration.

9/12/2014 – OKC, OK — A longtime notorious south Oklahoma City pimp and drug dealer facing a laundry list of crimes has been denied bail in Oklahoma County on his latest criminal charges.

JohnTV has reported many times on the despicable pile of flesh that is Gregory Keith Crawford Jr., aka ‘Pig.’

Most recently in Jan. of this year after JohnTV’s own Brian Bates distributed fliers in an upscale gated NE OKC neighborhood where Crawford was living while on bond for crimes allegedly committed in Cleveland County.

That effort was covered locally by KWTV News9’s Lisa Monahan (see video below).

At that time, Crawford, 39, was facing serious felony charges for possession of CDS, driving under suspension, failure to carry insurance and, most disturbing, aiding and abetting a minor in a drug crime.

Despite charges being filed in 2012, Crawford has yet to even have his preliminary hearing conference – which has now been set for Oct. 21 at 1:00 p.m.

Apparently Crawford didn’t get the message that he was facing serious jail time, because within days of Bates’ flier distribution, Crawford was arrested again and subsequently charged in Oklahoma County court with felony possession of meth with intent to distribute, possession of proceeds from drug dealing, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Crawford has a co-defendant in this case, identified as then 19-year-old Tawny Nicole Smith of Oklahoma City.

Crawford’s bond in Oklahoma County has been set at $40,500.

On Sept. 2, Crawford’s public defender (yeah, you and I are paying this turd’s legal bills) argued in front of Judge Ray Elliot for a bond reduction – that request was denied!

Crawford is next scheduled to appear before Judge Elliot on Sept. 24 for his preliminary hearing.

While Crawford cools his pimp, drug dealing heels in a jail cell, prosecutors are already trying to have two of his previous convictions that ended in probation revoked.

One is a 2011 conviction for felony concealing of stolen property. The other is for a 2009 conviction for felony possession of imitation dope with intent to distribute and driving with a revoked license.

Crawford’s adult criminal resume goes all the way back to when he was 19-years old and charged with trafficking cocaine in Oklahoma County.

Crawford has also been the target of Victim’s Protective Orders and pursued by the state of Oklahoma for being a deadbeat dad.

9/12/2014 – Warwick, R.I. — A Massachusetts man, arrested Sunday in Rhode Island, has been criminally charged with the sex trafficking of a woman from Oklahoma City.

According to published reports and court documents, 34-year-old Melvin Wilson was arrested after police responded to the parking lot of a motel regarding a disturbance around 6:30 p.m.

When police arrived they found Wilson arguing with an unidentified 27-year-old female inside a silver Lexus.

Police separated the two and noticed the female was extremely fearful of Wilson.

The woman told police she was from Oklahoma City and that Wilson had brought her to Warwick and had been prostituting her on Backpage.com and forcing her to have sex with strangers at the motel.

The woman went on to tell investigators that she tried to leave Wilson but he confiscated all her belongings.

Wilson has since been criminally charged with trafficking an individual for sexual activity.

The woman was placed with the local non-profit Day One.

Booking information indicates that Wilson resides or previously resided at 1000 Division St. in Great Barrington, Mass.

9/17/2014 – Oklahoma — Unless you’ve been living under a rock, and Obama isn’t providing you with a free smartphone and Internet access, then you are well aware of the term ALS Ice Bucket Challenge. I can tell those of you that have heard of it because that fluttering sound was a chorus of eye-rolls at the mere mention of it.

In case you’ve somehow missed it, the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge was invented by either a total masochist or marketing genius. Its an awareness/fund raising activity where someone dumps a bucket of ice water over their head and then challenges at least three other people to do the same (on video) within 24 hours. If they fail to do so, then they are to make a cash donation to ALS (or other charity).

The social phenomenon went viral in July of 2014 and promptly became totally lame and annoying just two months later after virtually every hokey morning show DJ began doing the challenge at used car lot live remotes and while standing in front of totally overrated fast food restaurants.

Personally, we’ve never seen individuals and groups so determined to publicly announce, “I’d rather dump a bucket of ice cold water over my head than give a damn dime to your organization!”

In all fairness, thousands of those ‘challenged’ did give. ALS reports that they’ve received over $100-million in donations this year alone.

So, apparently many of you had enough common sense to bypass on the public humiliation and simply send a check – most likely to an organization you’ve never heard of, can’t pronounce their name and certainly can’t articulate the facts of the disease. But hey, you got to blindly follow the herd and pat yourself on the back, all at the same time!

One demographic that obviously feels they’ve been left out of all the ice cold nippily attention is our local contingent of Internet hookers. Okay, they prefer to be called ‘providers’, ‘sex workers’, ‘escorts’, ‘companions’ (*yawn* whatever).

Leave it to a Tulsan to bring an otherwise overrated but harmless fad to an all new low.

Last Thursday (yeah, 9/11 of all days), T-Town hooker ‘Island’ posted a new thread containing a video on an Internet forum dedicated to promoting prostitution locally and across the globe with….

“Hey guys, this is Island. Inspired by the latest trend of ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, we are bringing our own hobby version to the table with Topless Ice Bucket Challenges….”

Islands’ desperate attempt for attention was of course lauded by countless middle-aged/over-aged social degenerates who frequently post to the site – an example;

Need we say more?

Of course, not to be outdone, Islands’ ‘challenge’ (is it really a ‘challenge’ to get an Internet hooker to take off her clothes and pour just about anything on her?) was met by ‘Kami405′ – representing OKC.

That’s ‘Kami’ to the left. Its hard to tell in that screen shot if she’s a woman or Peter Griffin from Family Guy, but we’ll take her word for it.

Notice a trend here? Well, besides the fact the participants are topless and need a membership to 10Gym….. They are all obviously hiding their faces.

Well, that is until ‘Mary Ann’ accepted the challenge.

‘Mary Ann’ has always been a sort of a rebel.

JohnTV readers will recall that ‘Mary Ann’ (previously known as ‘Tiffany Cums’) made the news last year after she posted photos of herself engaging in sex acts with an Oklahoma UPS driver while in his truck and wearing nothing but his UPS employee shirt. Locally the story was picked up by KWTV News9 and the Oklahoma Gazette.

Nationally, ‘Mary Ann’ got a shout out on The Tonight Show by host Jay Leno during the opening monologue.

Sadly, ‘Mary Ann’ committed a big no-no and by posting the UPS pics publicly she outed her ‘John’ and he was eventually identified and reportedly fired. Good job ‘Mary Ann’ – that’s a play right out of the JohnTV handbook!

Note to ‘Kami’ and ‘Mary Ann’ – its 2014, cell phones with video cameras have been out for a long time now. Apparently you’re the last to know that you need to turn your phone sideways when shooting video. Just saying.

Sorry, we are not going to be posting links to or embedding the local Topless Ice Bucket Challenge to JohnTV. We’ll leave that to other obscure local blogs if they so choose to do so.

Besides, don’t count on these videos being around for long. They were uploaded to YouTube and that rumble you’re feeling isn’t another ‘non-fracking related’ earthquake coming out of Jones America – its the Southern Baptist Convention stampeding to organize and flag each of the videos until they are taken down and burned in the fiery pits of hell!

Additionally, save the ranting and hate emails for someone who isn’t going to automatically delete them.

JohnTV is poking fun (no pun intended) at women engaged in prostitution that is private, consensual and fairly unorganized. While usually we leave such activities unreported, when they are done publicly and with such a lack of class, they deserve to be highlighted in a satirical way.

For those of you who feel the need to wash your eyeballs with bleach, or at least a more humorous diversion, I offer you a compilation of Ice Bucket Challenge fails….

9/23/2014 – (by Brian Bates) — Going to the mailbox has really lost most of its luster in the last few decades…. rarely do people bother to mail actual cards and hand-written letters died off long ago. Besides the occasional Amazon purchase, my mailbox has become the daily chore of transporting the junk mail to the trash can.

But, not today.

To my surprise, when I opened the mailbox, I received a copy of a book that has a couple of pages dedicated to profiling my JohnTV and Video Vigilante efforts.

The book, by fellow activist and blogger extraordinaire Carlos Miller is entitled ‘The Citizen Journalist’s Photography Handbook.’ (available on Amazon.com)

Miller is the backbone behind the blog PhotographyIsNotaCrime.com (Facebook) – a remarkable archive of just how far law enforcement will go to violate the rights of citizen’s who dare to arm themselves with cameras.

I have to warn you, while the PINAC website is a favorite of mine, I can only read it sporadically because it really infuriates me and enforces my bias against law enforcement.

As for the book, its really a very good read. Sure the coverage is pretty broad and basic, but its more of a coffee table reference book than a detailed manual or text book.

The 160 full color pages cover chapters that include (but are not limited to);

• The rise of citizen journalism
• Tools of the trade
• Media law
• Social media edge
• Citizen journalism is activism

In addition, Miller profiles nine citizen activists (including himself).

JohnTV’s own Brian Bates featured in new book.

Pages 68-71 profile your’s truly and provides a basic outline of how I became known as the Video Vigilante, taking my activism to the Internet and my very public battle with then Oklahoma County District Attorney Wes Lane.

Only one slight clarification regarding Miller’s profile on me. Miller mentions that when Lane came after me with some very serious criminal charges in 2005 that the case ended on a technicality. In reality, the case did indeed end at one point on a technicality – however the case was refiled not long after. In the end, Lane was voted out of office and all the original charges were dropped.
