12/16/2013 – Tulsa, OK — A man was charged in Tulsa County last Friday with the human sex trafficking of one of more teen runaways.

Damien Dinchie Wardell, 39, was arrested in November after police allege he used at least one – and as many as three – juvenile runaways as prostitutes in an east Tulsa motel.

Details are few, but what is known is that Wardell was arrested Nov. 22, at the Tulsa Best inn and Suites in a room that was registered in his name – he was in the company three juvenile girls.

At least one of the juveniles was listed as a runaway with police.

Police allege Wardell gave the young girls marijuana but details regarding prostitution were not readily available.

Wardell, a previously convicted felon, was booked into the Tulsa County Jail where he is currently being held in lieu of a $200,000 bond.

On Friday Wardell was charged with felony human trafficking, unlawful possession of a CDS and five counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Wardell pleaded guilty in Tulsa County in March to a domestic violence charge and was given a four-year suspended sentence. That sentence is now under revocation proceedings – filed Aug. 5th.
