6/5/2014 – Tulsa, OK — A registered sex offender out of Tulsa has been given a slap on the wrist after being convicted of pimping related crimes.
JohnTV first reported on the arrest of Dwight Dennis Johnson, 31, back in April of last year.
According to court records, Johnson was originally taken into custody at a Days Inn in Tulsa during an undercover prostitution investigation.
Allegedly, Johnson began yelling at a female prostitute in his company not to answer detectives questions regarding his criminal activities.
Police realized the woman was extremely fearful of Johnson and they separated the two for further questioning.
In Johnson’s absence the woman admitted to detectives that the money in Johnson’s wallet was from her prostitution activities that day.
On April 24, of last year Johnson was formally charged in Tulsa county with misdemeanor aiding and abetting prostitution.
Last Tuesday Johnson pleaded no contest in front of Tulsa County Judge William ‘Bill’ Hiddle and prosecutor Jackson McClaren.
Despite Johnson’s status as a registered sex offender (while engaging in pimping activities) and a conviction for robbery with a firearm and contempt of court he was only sentenced to one-year suspended (Unsupervised), $375 fine, $75 court fund, $75 VCA, 27-hours of community service, plus all court fees.
Johnson’s sex offender registration status is a result of a 2001 conviction for forcible sodomy along with two other male co-defendants.
