3/20/2014 – Del City, OK — Police have arrested a woman they claim is a prostitute after investigating the death of a man discovered inside a Del City Motel 6 earlier this month.
According to a report by KFOR News Channel 4, Larry Allen, 51, was found deceased by motel staff on March 6.
Initially Allen’s death was ruled a likely heart attack because there were no signs of trauma or a struggle.
Further investigation revealed that all of Allen’s personal belongings, his truck was missing and the room seemed to have been cleaned.
Investigators learned that Allen checked into the motel with a female he is said to have met in an online chat room.
Authorities say the woman was located and identified as Laciey Marie Mason, a suspected prostitute.
Police do not yet know if Mason was directly responsible for Allen’s death, but say even if she is not, she still faces manslaughter and grand larceny charges for not calling emergency personnel, reporting the death and stealing Allen’s property.
Allen’s funeral was abruptly put on hold after the Medical Examiner’s Office reclaimed Allen’s body to re-evaluate the cause of death.
