3/3/2014 – Lafayette, LA — A multiple-time convicted felon from Oklahoma City was arrested in Louisiana on a complaint of prostitution.
According to the Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office, 23-year old Shante Monique McClain was arrested for misdemeanor prostitution.
No additional information regarding McClain’s arrest was made available at the time of this posting.
Oklahoma Court records indicate that McClain has three times been convicted of felony crimes in Oklahoma County.
In 2009 McClain, and another defendant, were charged with felony drug crimes. McClain was convicted of possession of proceeds tied to drug dealing. McClain received a deferred sentence in 2011.
In 2010 McClain, and two other defendants, were again charged with drug related crimes. McClain was charged with manufacturing/trafficking cocaine base, possession with intent and possession of an offense weapon while in the commission of a felony. McClain again received a deferred sentence.
Als in 2010, McClain was charged with four felony counts related to the manufacturing, possession and trafficking of drugs. As with her previous two felony cases, McClain received a deferred sentence.
According to the Oklahoma Department of Corrections, McClain served 210-days in jail for violation of one or more of her deferred sentences.
